for emotional & relational wellness

Tuesdays @ 9:30 am (EST), Online

Calm: Starts September 21st

Ready to dig into an important theme in your life in a rich and rewarding way?  Our Impact Guided Journaling Groups are thoughtfully designed (by a therapist) to help you do just that.  Over the course of our six weeks together, you'll engage in a depth and breadth of reflection that will help you nurture the best parts of who you are --you'll leave our time together feeling centered, confident, capable, and empowered.  You'll also start or grow your very own journal practice, giving you a powerful tool to use to support yourself whatever life brings your way.

calm: find your peace

Starts September 21st.  Registration is now closed.

CALM.  There never seems to be enough of it to go around, right?  Especially this past year, many of us have found ourselves increasingly frazzled, impatient, and agitated as we've navigated one stressful event after another (and another).  In many ways, we receive cultural messages that celebrate a hectic and hurried pace of life while "calm" is portrayed as a luxury item best reserved for a beach vacation.

But "calm" can actually be an essential ingredient to daily life.  Calm is what helps us to quiet our fears and impulses so that we can act with clarity and compassion.  Calm is what helps us quiet the demands and stressors of the world around us so we can treat ourselves with kindness and focus on what is actually important to us.  Calm is that quiet place within us that holds us strong and steady--and in that quiet place, love for self and other have room to flourish.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me in making more room for calm in your life through our upcoming guided journaling group.  You'll become a part of a small circle of fellow journalers as we embrace calm and intentionally move it toward the center of our daily experiences.

Together, we'll engage our guided journaling group process as we take a deep dive into the theme of "Calm".  Below you'll find an overview of the journey we'll take together through group discussion and guided journaling.

Describing Calm: It's easier to find our "calm" when we know exactly what it looks and feels like.  Our prompts for week 1 will help you walk inside of "calm" and take a long look around.
Mapping Calm: Now that we know what "calm" is, we'll examine where it's located--where we do (and don't) find "calm" in our lives.  Our prompts for week 2 will help you be be an explorer as you grow in your understanding of the pathways that lead you toward "calm".
Calm & Me: You and "calm" are in a relationship--it may be close or distant, steady or unpredictable, exciting or disappointing (or many, many other adjectives).  Our prompts for week 3 will help you describe and make sense out of the ways you and "calm" interact with one another.
The History of Calm: Long before you started this group, your relationship with "calm" was already unfolding and evolving.  Our prompts for week 4 will help you notice the influence of past people and experiences on how "calm" shows up for you (or fails to show up for you) in the present.
The Future of Calm: Long after this group ends, you and "calm" will go on together for the rest of your life.  Our prompts for week 5 will invite you draw on everything you've journaled about so far so that you can imagine and step into your ideal relationship with "calm".
Post-Group Journaling: Now that you've journaled and journeyed within our guided group, you get to take everything you experienced and explored home with you.  Our final set of prompts, to be completed after our group ends, will support you as you reflect on what you've learned and where you want to go from here.
