Becoming Twice-Compassionate

for partners & spouses of

When you loved someone who is wired differently, you need different support. You'll find it here: in a circle with your peers, guided by a therapist who specializes in mixed-neurotype relationships.
Together, we'll discuss common challenges, identify problem-solving possibilities, and even celebrate the joys of neurodiverse relationships. Topics we may address include:
We'll center our conversations around concepts and themes related to self-compassion and autism-compassion (taken together we call this "twice-compassion").
Over the course of each four month session of our group, we'll move through the following focus areas:
Optional learning materials to support self-reflection and growth will be provided, including a workbook, recommended readings, and guided meditation recordings.
Join us! Just bring your authentic self, a little hope, and an open heart--we'll journey together toward concepts and practices that will enable you to thrive as you love yourself and your neurodivergent partner.

- How to recognize the complex, even conflicting emotions you experience and respond with intention
- How to talk to yourself in a gentler, kinder way, especially regarding challenging interactions in your relationship
- How balance your own needs with accommodations for your partner's needs
- How to discern when to "let go" and when to "push" for change in your relationship
- How to work cooperatively and effectively with your partner to improve relationship satisfaction

Participants must register for all 4 months to create group safety & consistency.
You are welcome to join us for as many 4 month sessions as you need.

*Your partner does not need to be formally diagnosed or self-identified for you to participate in this group. If using the framework of autism helps you understand your partner and your relationship with them, you are welcome here.
